Don't sift through long web pages. Find specific words or phrases on a web page faster with these shortcuts for Safari on the Mac and iOS. The Command+F keyboard shortcut for Find could be the. Shortcuts Search And Replace is a tiny and portable software tool that enables users to quickly locate shortcuts to applications and edit their settings. In the Help menu Search that opens, start typing a few letters of your desired menu command. Arrow key down to the item you want and press Return to choose it. If an app re-opens with the windows that were open when you last quit it, you can tell it not to re-open the windows.
Making the trip up to your browser's address bar directly from the keyboard is very easy, but it does vary from browser to browser. Here's a breakdown:

There are many useful browser shortcuts, but this one ranks pretty high. All joking aside, it is really annoying to constantly have to use the mouse to go to the address bar.

This page shows the keyboard shortcuts for the various search functions in Thunderbird. For the full list of all keyboard shortcuts, see Keyboard Shortcuts.
In earlier versions (prior to 3.1) of Thunderbird, the / + key combination invoked the function for searching for text in the currently selected message.
In subsequent versions prior to version 8, the / + key combination was reassigned to invoke Quick Filter, which allows you to limit the messages currently displayed by specifying various filter parameters.
Shortcut For Search In Word
The keystroke combination for searching for text within a message was / + , / + . (That is, the same key combination used twice in a row.)
As of Thunderbird version 8, the following keystrokes are assigned to search functions:
- Search All Messages (Global Search): + + +
- Quick Filter Bar (filter messages in current view): + + + + + +
- Search for messages in a folder (search dialog): + + + + + +
- Find text in current message: + + +
